Our Journey: From House of Bryan to Caerula Mar Club

For many years Bryan and I kept in our own lanes, career wise.  We were both focused on our respective paths until an unexpected opportunity presented itself; it was something we couldn't turn down. Since that day we've since embarked on countless projects together drawing our family closer with each endeavour.

My decision to appear in television alongside Bryan came unexpectedly back in 2009 when we made the decision to renovate our modest 900 sq ft bungalow. With two young children and cramped living space (our daughter Charlotte was sleeping in our walk-in closet), we embarked on our first renovation together. Although Bryan's initial idea was to step back from television and focus on our family home, it quickly became an opportunity when the network suggested filming the process. It was this day that the House of Bryan series was born.

During those early days of filming, I juggled being a mother, my role as a co-star, and my own entrepreneurial journey of owning and operating a ballet school in our local home town of Oakville Ontario. Days on camera with Bryan were spent making decisions about our home while evenings were spent teaching dance classes to children in our community. It was a whirlwind, but I was determined to be involved in every aspect of building our family's dream home and our future.

As time went on, our family grew, and one show led to another, and another. Balancing two jobs and now being a mother of three, became increasingly challenging.  I soon realized that it was time to make a change. We made the difficult decision to sell the ballet school so I could focus on helping to grow our businesses and find my place in the design world.

One of the most significant projects we've undertaken to date is building Caerula Mar Club in The Bahamas. What sets this endeavour apart is not just its scale but the leap of faith for all of us – Bryan, the kids and me. It was a risk, fraught with challenges and uncertainties, but we were unwavering in our determination to see it through. The journey tested our resolve, but it also brought us closer together as a family. Something I am forever grateful for!

As I reflect on our journey I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunities we've had and the challenges we've overcome. Each project has been a labor of love, fueled by passion, dedication, and the unwavering support of our family and community.

Looking ahead, there are exciting projects on the horizon, though I can't share all the details just yet. What I can say is that you will see us return to a place near and dear to our family very soon! We are excited to see where this path will lead us as we continue to write the next chapter of our story.
